Meet Dr. Brandon Nielsen

Dr. Brandon Nielsen is a Twin Falls native, graduating from TFHS. Shortly after high school he served a mission for the LDS church to Mardrid Spain where he learned to speak fluent Spanish. On return from his mission he married his best friend Aubrey (formerly Harding) and continued with school at The College of Idaho where he played basketball and recieved his BS in Health Sciences.

After an internship in an optometry office Brandon knew that it was the career for him. He was accepted to Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton. Dr. Nielsen, his wife Aubrey and children moved to sunny California where he attended Optometry School.

During the course of his studies he came to appreciate the diverse care and indepth needs that children’s vision care required. Being a bit of a goofy ball himself, he fitted nicely into the role of a pediatric eye doctor and applied for a residency in Pediactrics and Vision Therapy. He was fortunate to be accepted as 1 of 2 residents at Marshall B. Ketchum, a school known for excelling in pediactric eye care. Over the course of his residency he learned the skill of vision therapy, treated many special needs and brain injury patients, as well as sharpening his skills at pediatric exams.

Dr. Nielsen is happy to be returning to Idaho to offer a diverse range of eye exams catered to the unique needs of teens, children and infants.  As well as specialized vision therapy courses- a service that was previously not available in the Magic Valley.
