What does the vision therapy program entail?

A vision therapy program is determined by many factors including the results of comprehensive eye exams, binocular exam, and or visual-spatial exams. Depending on the severity and variety of a patient’s symptoms, the doctor will recommend a specific course of treatment. A series of in-office visits utilize specialized instruments, prisms, lenses, and touch-screen computers and many more activities. In-office techniques are reinforced with at-home activities designed to facilitate visual development. Over the course of the treatment, progress evaluations are given to measure progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
